Bike Bags

I go camping via bicycle! It’s an enjoyable human-powered way to see the outdoors. I made a full set of bags for my bicycle as a fun way to learn how to design and sew simple textiles. I made a frame bag, a saddle bag, and two feeder bags for quick snack access while riding.

I’d been doing sheet metal design work for a while before this project, which turns out to exercise similar mental muscles to textile pattern making. The first set of bags worked out really well! I took them on a bike camping trip shortly after making them into Henry Coe State Park.
