Twoco the Taco
This project is a summary of many projects on a tacoma I owned, affectionately nicknamed Twoco the Taco. It includes significant suspension upgrades, trail protection, onboard air compressor, lighting, and circuit controls.

The suspension was an Icon stage 9 build, replacing all springs and dampers, front upper control arms, and adding additional bumpstops. After the suspension was complete I performed body modifications to clear a larger size tire without sacrificing any articulation or suspension travel.

The onboard air system involved an ARB dual compressor, a custom bracket under the hood, and some plumbing to let me access a QD without opening the hood. The compressor was enabled or disabled from a six circuit controller I added to the truck.
Trail protection included rock sliders, skid plates, and some strategic trimming/hammering of body panels to clearance a few tricky areas.

I eventually sold this truck to get my Rivian R1T, and I’ll be honest I miss it. I wish I could have kept both. There’s no replacement for a manual, solid axle truck with good armor and great suspension.
